New Interface of Twitter today

Over the years, Twitter has undergone some changes, such as segmentation and the 280 character limit. The most recent changes the company is testing include a new interface for the social network, as Twitter wants to be more conversational and apparently more like a message board and a chat application.

In a post retweeted by Twitter boss Jack Dorsey, the company's product head, Sara Haider, showed footage of two features the platform is testing. One of them is the response threading, which shows the answers as tweets encoded by nested colors. They seem more similar to Reddit and Facebook topics, since even a response to a response is indented.

The other feature is the online status indicator, which shows everyone that you are on the platform and ready to respond with a green dot like Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Haider wants users to have full control over the feature, and that's what many expect, that means you're in control and can turn it off if you change your mind.

Because these are test features, few people can access them for now. They will also continue to evolve before reaching everyone's accounts if the platform decides to give them a larger version.
